In July 2014, the publishing-printing house Daigai UAB successfully implemented an investment project Installation of the regeneration plant at Daigai UAB, intended to reduce a production waste generation co-funded by the National Environmental Protection Investment Fund (LAAIF), which approved a subsidy of LTL 116,440 for project implementation. The total project value – LTL 149,000 excluding the VAT.
Daigai UAB has installed a modern regeneration plant that will enable to reduce production waste generation. Using vacuum during the process, the solvent used in the production process will be poured from containers into the distillation equipment. Upon completion of the regeneration cycle, the formed non-regenerated waste will be removed from the container and delivered to a waste-utilization company, whereas the regenerated solvent will be returned back to the production process for secondary use.
Assistance awarded by the National Environmental Protection Investment Fund enabled to implement a progressive technology helping to reduce the amount of waste, and provide a possibility to use regenerated solvents for the second time. The project implementation will allow contributing to the creation of a cleaner environment and enhance the company’s competitiveness on the national and international level.
Daigai UAB implemented a project Installation of an integrated quality, environmental protection and hygiene management system for producing foodstuff packaging at Daigai UAB according to the measure VP2-2.1-ŪM-03-K Process LT, co-funded by the European Union funds. During the project, certified quality, environmental protection and hygiene management systems for making foodstuff packaging were implemented. In addition, software intended for managing the implemented integrated management system, document publishing, non-conformance management was acquired.
On 15 March 2013, a project Financing and administration agreement No. VP2-2.1-ŪM-03-K-02-057 was signed, according to which funding from the European Regional Development Fund and from the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania was granted. The project was implemented for an amount of LTL 89,261.70, of which LTL 33,755.78 was paid from the EU funds.
The implemented project will enable increasing operational efficiency and competitiveness of Daigai UAB in the domestic and foreign markets. After implementing an integrated management system and acquiring its management tool, the company’s competitiveness will greatly increase on the international market. The installed systems will establish favourable conditions for services/product export, growth in the company’s turnover and work productivity. They will ensure control and compliance with requirements of the quality management system and the company’s internal quality criteria, as well as will help controlling the management of non-conformances emerged in the production process.

Daigai UAB implemented the project Work productivity enhancement by installing information systems at the printing house Daigai UAB according to the “Economic growth actions programme”, 2nd priority “Increasing Business Productivity and Business Environment Improvement” measure “E-Business LT”, resulting in the acquisition of accounting software, creation and implementation of the production management programme. On 15 July 2011, a project Financing and administration agreement No. S-VP2-2.1-ŪM-02-K-02-233 was signed, according to which funding from the European Regional Development Fund and from the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania was granted.
The project was implemented for a total amount LTL 130,791.00, of which LTL 65, 395.50 was granted from EU funds.
In the course of implementing the project “Increasing Business Productivity” by implementing information systems at Daigai UAB, the accounting software was acquired, also, a production management programme was created and installed that connected separate business processes into a uniform, completely mutually integrated complex system aimed at optimizing the production. Daigai UAB implemented the project Modernisation of Daigai UAB printing house according to the “Economic growth actions programme”, 2nd priority “Increasing Business Productivity and Business Environment Improvement” measure “Leader LT”. On 12 December 2008, a project Financing and administration agreement No. S-VP2-2.1-ŪM-01-K-01-108 was signed, according to which funding from the European Regional Development Fund and from the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania was granted. The project was implemented for a total amount of LTL 5,358,012.05, of which LTL 2,140,229.00 were funds of the European Union structural assistance and the state budget of the Republic of Lithuania.
During the project Modernization of Daigai UAB printing house, internal engineering networks were installed, a label hot foil stamping machine, machine for the manufacture of flexographic printing forms, and flexographic machine with a laminator were acquired. Thus, three technological lines were created.
